This Privacy Policy explains how PfdLabs collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

Your name and email address
Password (stored as a secure hash — never in plain text)
Diagram data you create and save
Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store card details)

We also collect basic usage data such as pages visited and actions taken, via Google Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide and improve the PfdLabs service
Send account-related emails (verification, password reset, billing)
Process payments via Stripe
Analyse usage to improve the product

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. All connections use HTTPS encryption. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics.
Gmail SMTP — for sending transactional emails.

5. Cookies

PfdLabs uses localStorage (not cookies) to store your authentication token locally in your browser. We do not use tracking cookies. Google Analytics may set cookies for analytics purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
Withdraw consent at any time

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised usage data may be retained longer.

8. Children

PfdLabs is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
